Renewing Quaker Community

This course is designed particularly for Quaker communities wishing to renew their core understanding of the Quaker way, The expectation of a transforming encounter with the Divine (however we describe it); the use of a distinctive form of collective worship to nurture that encounter; and witness – the life that emerges as an outcome of faith. We will focus on how these elements inter-relate to underpin the Quaker way and how your worshiping community can best be nurtured.

This course is being offered free of charge by SWAM to Friends responsible for eldership and pastoral care in their local meeting. We hope that at least two Friends from each local meeting will attend, ready to share thier learning with others in their meeting. The second person cout be a clerk or someone else in the Local Meeting.
